Index Energy Background

Index Energy Mills Road Corporation (Index Energy) has completed its new state of the art co-generation plant in downtown Ajax, Ontario. The new Ajax Steam Plant will generate almost 18MW electricity to the electrical grid under the FIT program for which we have obtained a 20 year supply contract.

The relatively small scale of our facility offers an exciting working environment with a large variety of duties and responsibilities. Therefore, we require from our staff a flexible, independent and problem solving mind set and approach with an excellent sense of responsibilities. Index Energy is looking for capable engineers to operate our co-generation plant with 2 wood fired combustors, boilers and 3 steam turbines along with all auxiliary equipment. The plant is running 24 hours a day 7 days a week shift with 12 hour shifts.
